Baycrest Centre for Geriatric Care serves the elderly as a hospital, a home for the aged, a leading research facility for brain functioning and aging as well as through its many other services. First, Angelo Pesce helped us clarify our performance evaluation systems, separating performance evaluation from the discipline process. Then Rhonda Kupfer worked with us to ensure that our HR policies and procedures reflected best practices; she saved us the time and tedium of trying to collect this information from other providers.

Finally, Ian McArdle worked with us to review our performance-assessment instrument for the senior management team. He conducted individual interviews in a confidential, neutral manner with senior team members and then facilitated further development of the instrument itself. For just over a year, I was Executive Director of Toronto East Counselling and Support Services, a community-based adult mental health agency. For a number of reasons, many of long standing, the agency was faced with significant issues in both human resources and labour relations. Addressing these skillfully was a high-priority focus for the immediate stability and future life of the agency.

In order to deal with these critical areas effectively and fairly, Pesce & Associates was contracted for a period of several months.
